n questo numero vi portiamo in giro per il mondo, e nel tempo. Vi faremo
conoscere aspetti ammalianti dell’antichità con gli imponenti acquedotti
romani, e con l’eccezionale stele di Metternich, reperto egizio custodito al
iMetropolitan Museum of Art di New York. Esploreremo insieme alcuni tratti
dei cammini federiciani in Puglia, per riscoprire la viabilità storica e ripercorrere
le tracce dell’imperatore “stupor mundi”; visiteremo la Costa Azzurra attraverso
la matita di uno splendido taccuino di viaggio; ci immergeremo nello scenario
rigoglioso del Senegal con la sua sorprendente natura; ammireremo il paesaggio
seducente del Portogallo grazie agli scatti fotografici d’autore che siamo riusciti ad
offrirvi. Un viaggio tra passato e presente, tra vecchi e nuovi mondi. Una possibilità
per riflettere sulla nostra civiltà, sulle sue conquiste e sui suoi limiti. Un modo e un
auspicio per cercare di raggiungere l’armonia, concetto in cui risiede anche quello
di bellezza. Ecco perché la copertina l’abbiamo dedicata a Scolacium, il parco
archeologico ubicato nel cuore del Mediterraneo che, da ormai diciannove anni,
è anche il luogo in cui si tiene Armonie d’Arte Festival; un evento - come dice la
sua creatrice e direttrice, Chiara Giordano - con cui si vuole rappresentare, nello
scenario globale, quel Mediterraneo dello scambio positivo, della vitalità creativa,
della conoscenza e della libertà, delle belle, buone e giuste cose. Per creare un
ponte ideale tra il passato, matrice nobile del mondo occidentale moderno, e il
nostro tempo che guarda al futuro, nel segno di una comunanza tutta posta nel
concetto di “anima mundi”.
